The FOCUS Security Committee develops detailed standards for safe operations and the secure management of all raw cannabis, processed cannabis and cannabis plants. The standard requires any cannabis operation including cultivation, extraction, infusion and retail stores/dispensaries to consistently meet security requirements including management responsibilities, risk management assessment, physical security, dynamic entry, cash management, product control, alarms, video, transport procedures, training and background checks and emergency procedures.

With years of experience in the security and technology industry, Noah Stokes believes that with the proper utilization of technology and  intelligent design you can make marijuana facilities one that people will avoid, rather than  attack. Founder of CannaGuard Security, the Nations’ Premier Cannabis Security Company, Noah saw a great need for a company to come  into the security space and use technology to  help protect people, rather than solely being  used against them by sophisticated criminals.  His personal mission is to provide the most secure, robust and easy to use systems to clients, without needing to charge the inflated rates the Cannabis industry is used to.


Dan Williams

Daniel Williams is the founder of Canna Security America (CSA). A year after 9/11 Dan founded SpecOps Surveillance LLC,in Westport, Connecticut. Over the next five years, SpecOps created and implemented unique CCTV system designs for the luxury car market. In 2007, Dan moved to Denver, Colorado where he created brand specific security standards, coordinated national system implementation installations, and managed rollouts from inception to completion. In 2009 he founded CSA, intent on making it the premier security solutions provider for the Cannabis industry. Dan supports functional state regulations, which he believes is inevitable in order to meet our common goal of providing immediate market driven security solutions making CSA an established leader in Security for the medical marijuana industry.


David Hyde

David Hyde, M.Sc. CPC is an international security consultant specializing in crime prevention and security for marijuana production facilities. Based in Toronto, David has expert knowledge of Canada’s stringent MMPR regulations having worked on security for 70 marijuana production facilities including greenhouses, retrofit warehouses and modular, state of the art production facilities. David holds a M.Sc in Security & Risk Management, Certificate in Security Management and has completed the renowned Wharton School Development Program for Security Executives.


Keith Moen

Keith Moen is a founding member of the Medical Marijuana Dispensary Program in Oregon and has over 21 years in the U.S. Armed forces. His earliest experience with the cannabis industry was as a counter-drug operations manager with the Oregon Air National Guard. Keith’s 20 years of military and law enforcement experience give him a strong background in security analysis and risk mitigation, as well as expertise in program and data analysis.


Tony Gallo

Tony Gallo is the Senior Director of Sapphire Protection LLC. With over 30 years in the Security, Audit, Safety, and Risk/Emergency Management fields. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from New Jersey City University and is a member of National Cannabis Industry Association, Americans for Safe Access, National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws, Marijuana Business Association and the American Society for Industrial Security.   Mr. Gallo is licensed security consultant and a published author on cannabis security. He has spoken at various cannabis business conferences across the United States and is considered one of the leading authorities in cannabis and financial service security, armed robbery and burglary loss prevention.
